As a non-EU national, you have to obtain a residence permit here on the basis on having found an employer willing to sponsor you, or a University for further studies. Further info on your country's Swiss Embassy website.

If you have finished a Masters or higher degree then you can stay onto job hunt for upto six months from the date your university informs you that you have passed the final exam. You need to apply for a new permit to do this, showing proof of housing and sufficient funds.

This is as vague as a question can be.

It depends on the field of study.
It depends on the time of the year you look for a job.
It depends on your competition.
It depends on your curriculum.
It depends on your luck.
It depends wether you are a male or female.
...

I could go on forever. Having a Master is no pass for a job. Sometimes it's a deterent. Only way to get a job is looking for it. You can also look for it back in your home country in case you don't find one in those 6 months. Good luck.

But you just left Switzerland to do you degree in the US? Maybe it's best to finish your degree in one place then look for a job.

Good luck!
