visa/work permit

Hi, would anyone know about applying for a work permit; do i need to have a job first? once I have a job and a work visa can i apply for a swiss citizanship? I really want to move to Switzerland this coming September and I'm looking for a job in Education.. hopefully I will find something .

Welcome to the forum.

For Swiss citizenship, it is about a 12 year wait.

If you are an EU national, you get apply for the permit once you have a job in CH.

As a job seeker, you are entitled to an L permit ( between 3 to 9 months, renewable ).

thank you for your replies, I think I will wait nearer September (intended move) and move with some job offers before applying for any visa's
