working while doing MBA in CH

Hello guys,
I am trying to figure out is it possible to get a working permit while taking MBA in CH?
Or is selfemployment the only option?
Thank you so much!!!

Re: working while doing MBA in CH

The fact that you're doing an MBA is irrelevant. You will only be allowed to work (either employed or self-employed) if you have a valid work permit.

Thank you,so students are not allowed to work part-time? I am very sorry, but it's all very new to me and I am trying to find my way around.
The reason why I am confused is because of the tax issuer, being a full time student will make you a resident of CH,but if you are doing consulting and not allowed to work in CH then tax on consultig activity has to be paid outside of CH..........
Do they really expect someone to drop CHF100+ on EMBA,add another CHF50 for living and NOT work

lol.......I just complained to my mother and her answer was "you need a rich man, honey "................

I don't quite get your point - why would you need to pay tax "outside of CH"?

If you don't have a working pemit in CH,working is not legal then how would you pay tax if it's not legal to work?

I doubt many criminals bother to declare their illegal earnings & pay tax on them

So you being an International Tax expert maybe you can enlighten me on this - how do you pay tax (even abroad) on an illegal activity? Let alone the whole taxation & domiciliation basics.

I never asked about any ilegal activity. All I am trying to figure out how to get best education possible in the areas close to Wealth Management to set up my own company (in the next 5 years),but since I have a lot of requests for international consulting services at the moment I would like to continue advising my clients while I am in CH (if it's possible) on a consulting basis without opening a company in CH as I can have one in Canada.
Switzerland is the best location due to international nature of my business and I don't have to do ANY ilegal things as it's quite possible to make a good living in a legal way.

It all depends on your work permit, if self employment is not allowed, such activity would be illegal.
