ID for EUs (Ausländerausweis)?

Good morning to everyone!

I am a victim of the greek crisis and I moved to Switzerland...First I have to say that I found first a job and I will have a fix address April 1st (not a joke...).
I need your help: I have the "Meldebestätigung" and I want to know if I have to apply for the so-called "Ausländerausweis" separately. If yes, what is the procedure?

Thank u all!

Welcome to the forum.

Meldebestätigung leads to your ID - depending on the parish / Gemeinde, it might take several days / weeks to get it. They should have your rental contract and work contract in order to fully process it with a fee.

What is a Meldebestätigung

(wow that was a quick response...).

I can confirm that I have provided the working contract, but for the rental contract I said to the guy that I am still looking for a flat and so I gave him the job address.

You might be keen to search / read up on the change of address as well.
