L permit -- Vaud to Basel

Dear Members,

I have a question on L permit. I have an L permit in Canton of Vaud and i have been asked to shift to canton of Basel .

I would have to work in Basel , but i want to live in lausanne.

May be take a small apt in basel but reside in Lausanne only.

Is it possible ?

Has anybody done this ? Do i have to talk to both communes first ?

Let me know.

Re: L permit -- Vaud to Basel

It depends on whether you are a citizen of a member state of the EU or not. And if so, when that state joined the EU.
