Moving from one Kanton to another -- non EU L permit

Hi all
As indicated above -- is it an issue to move from one kanton to another for a non EU L permit holder? are there complication, obstacles, etc. in the short\long run resulted from this move?

Many thx
V.I.

Re: Moving from one Kanton to another -- non EU L permit

Hi Vlad_island,

No it is not difficult and it is possible. The only thing you need that a letter from your current employer stating that the project itself is moving from one Kanton to another. Or if you get a new job in another Kanton and your new employer is ready to file a case for you..

These are the two options. Hope I am able to help you.

Wishing you very best of luck.

Regards,
Awesome001.

Re: Moving from one Kanton to another -- non EU L permit

Even with a "B" permit (non-EU) there is a procedure for requesting a transfer to another canton, even though you are 'allowed' to do it - you can always contact the Cantonal authorities for the canton you want to move to, and ask them what the procedure is. I think it's a case of applying and getting approval, then when you have found an apartment, de-register in your old town hall and re-register in the new one.

Many thanks. We'll definitely stick to ZH after the above explanations.
