Documents required for B spouse permit

Dear All,

I have read similar threads like mine over and over again trying to find the answers on my own, but with no success
I really hope that you will be able to help me by giving me some advices...

So.. Me and my partner have been living together for 7 years, but still not married. And some time ago we have decided to get married, so I can be here officially as well, not only as a tourist: D My partner has a B permit for 5 years.

We will be getting married next week in BG (as I think it would be much easier and cheaper as well).
So my questions are:
1. What documents are required for applying for depended visa? (Marriage certificate - translated in German and legalized …..)
2. Which is better: to apply for the visa from Switzerland or we should apply from BG?
3. Can I be in Switzerland, while waiting for the visa to be issued?

Sorry guys for asking these questions, but I think that people from Migrationsamt are not telling everything straight!! We have asked them twice and they told us that I won’t be able to work here. After I made some researches and show them what I have found on the net, things really changed. They told me that they will give me exactly the same visa as my husband, with rights to work.

Any advice is appreciated.

T.

I recommend applying from BG. You're likely to get an answer faster since you're not competing with all the applications filed in CH. Dunno for sure if you can be here while the paperwork is processed, but I think so.

Re: Documents required for B spouse permit

Hi all,

Just wanted to update you on thread

Today I received my B permit for 5 years - the same one as my hubby.

I applied from here on 1st of November. It took exactly one month!

The documents which they required were: marriage certificate (in german), agreement for the apartment we live in, picture of me and 85 chf.

It feels good

Thank you guys!

Cheers
