Permit renewal with new company

I am non-EU with a B-Permit holder. I have a strange situation. I have been unemployed since 31 July 2012 in canton Uri and I have a new job from 1 Nov 2012 in canton Zurich. My permit expires on 23 Oct 2012. I have already received the permit renewal paper signed by my new employer and have submitted to the foreign office. I have not availed of the unemployment benefits yet as I was concerned that it might impact my new permit renewal which I have still not received.

Based on your experience, do you think there are chances for denial of permit in a new canton if they find out that I am receiving benefits from the current canton ? In that case I will just give up the 3 months of benefits.

Many many thanks !!!

A claim on unemployment insurance will not be an issue, social assistance would be an issue.
