Visit Visa Appeal process

Hi,
I was just submitting an appeal letter against refused visit visa on behalf of my colleague. Here's the story. I'm an asignee from company which its headquarter is in Switzerland and holding L permit. I'm inviting colleagues who works at the same company with me back in Indonesia to visit switzerland only for 10 days holidays, I wrote an invitation letter stating that I will provide room, meal and local transport as well as stating that my colleagues will back to origin country when the holiday finish by mentioning the detailed date as written on the ticket. However, the visa was refused with a stamp by Switzerland embassy in Indonesia with the reason "does not provide proof of sufficient means of subsistence, both for the duration of the intended stay and for the return to his country of origin or residence, or for the transit to a third country into which he is certain to be admitted, or is not in a position to acquire such means lawfully"
In short the consular was saying that the financial statement is not convincing and yes this is true for 1 of my colleagues, but somehow they refused both of applications.

Now I'm submitting appeal for only one of my colleague who has all the document and proof of support (return ticket, insurance, financial statement, employeer sponsorship) completed, is there anyone here having experience with the appeal process, how long it takes and how was the result?

cheers,
emitremus

Re: Visit Visa Appeal process

I was also trying to invite relatives to Switzerland a couple of years ago having L permit. Finally I was refused to do so - the explanation was that only B or C permit holders are allowed to invite people. So there was simple solution - I just asked my friend with B-permit to invite them.
