When signing a contract in a foreign language - do you really know what you are dealing with? What if he general terms and conditions are not available in English?

Translators skilled in translating legal documents will be happy to help you out, and if you are not interested in having the whole document translated we can also sit down with you and explain what is actually in the contract you are planning to sign.

Any questions? Check www.swissbenefits.com ; call us under 031 566 70 01 or contact me by pm. I am always happy to help.

Are you unsure what your B-Permit entitles you to? Do you know how the years are counted for a settlement permit (C-Permit) or how they are counted towards naturalization?

The Swissbenefits team is happy to answer your questions and let you know how best to proceed.

Re: Immigration, integration, naturalization services

Dear EF members

The end of the year is approaching quickly, so many of you that are renting apartments will have received the "Nebenkostenabrechnung" - "Decompte des Frais" - "Service charge Statements". Make sure that everything in there is also listed in your rental contract so that you don't end up paying more than necessary.

Regards

international

Re: Immigration, integration, naturalization services

New year, new rules dear EF Members!

In the city of Zurich the rules concerning language requirements as well as integration have changed! And in the city of Berne, people arriving from the EU have already upon their first application for a residence permit have to answer a few questions concerning integration.

Just to let you know - as always if you have any questions please PM me.

Any advise on how to proceed to get the permit.

Yes, get a job here or marry a Swiss/EU national. No other way to do it. As a non-EU national you come under the non-EU hiring criteria which means you need to have a university degree and several years of experience. Any employer also has to prove they can't find a Swiss/EU national who could do the job before they'd be allowed to hire you.
