Possibility of being registered on one address and living and working in other canton

I am a student at the moment and I arrived in Switzerland in 2010. I have 5 year EU B-permit obtained because my family moved here. It allows me live and work in any canton in Switzerland. I studied 2 semesters and did 2 internships in Canton Vaud - hotel management, and I never changed my address on the permit. Can I work and live in other Canton( VD, for example ) and keep my parents' place address on my permit(the place i have always been registered), in order to take C-permit after few years?? The idea is not to change my address and commune, so I don't refresh the permit. My parents are living there and working, so if someone tries to find me there I'll know because they'll tell me, plus I'm going to be in Switzerland, not far away.

You don't refresh the start date of the permit by changing address, you are still on the same permit with new address?? No?

I moved from GVA to VD and the entry date to CH didn't change. When i registered in VD, one of the questions was "are you coming from another canton" .. Yes, I'm not entering the country like a new person.

Basically no. If you live in a different canton from your parents then you must deregister from their address and re-register at your new commune/canton. You should have done that when you started your studies. It won't affect the entry date on your permit because your permit allows you to live and work in any part of Switzerland.

Check the rules for the canton you plan to be in. For example, I've read that Zuerich requires you to live uninterrupted there for a period of time in order to qualify. So the clock would probably reset there...

From what I understand, that is fine as long as you are a student (to be registered at your parents' home) but not once you work.
