US person with dual Swiss/EU spouse, living in CH: any EU privileges?

Hi folks: odd question, weird situation (used the search function to verify this) -- maybe I need an analogous English Forum Germany to ask ...?
I'm hoping someone might have some useful input, from experience or general knowledge.
I'm an American married to a dual Swiss/German national (a nice lady in fact)
We've been married, living here for 3.5 years; I've got a B permit, family regroupment with activity ("lucrative" - it hasn't been very).
Can anyone tell me if her German/EU status conveys any of that sweet EU goodness to me, simply by virtue of being married, even if we're not living in the EU?
On an EU info site I found only references to being able to get a permanent residence card after living in an EU country for 5 years, which is very far from applying to me.
My situation is that I am looking at university programs in EU countries, and they offer cheaper tuition/fees for "EU applicants" without better defining what an EU applicant is. In job searches, too, even when looking for jobs in Switzerland, I've seen requests for "EU candidates".
The obvious answer is that I'm non-EU and I'm not entitled to anything. I'm hoping someone might have a contrary opinion, with some basis to argue the point.
