Hi Tony and welcome along.

You do not mention your nationality or that of your spouse. This will have a great bearing on your ability to work. Also I see you are living in France. I'm not sure what your permit is, but sounds like a residence one. It does not say "permis de sejour ou d'etablissement en Suisse ET DE TRAVAIL". You generally don't get a work permit until you have a job - they sort of go hand in hand is a positive way of looking at it.

Unless you have a good grasp of French, then you are going to be limited to English teaching (if this is a limit at all) and English-speaking companies. You line of work would have a bearing on this too! Everyone trained in Switzerland is trained to be 'something'. So there is often a difficulty in understanding people who aren't...

Re: how can i get job

If the international organisation is in Switzerland your permit should be a Ci. This is a special permit which affords you all the benefits of a normal C permit holder. However it would be good to say where you are from and what languages you do speak...

Ah CERN. CERN employees have an even more special status than other international organizations and this is beyond the scope of my knowledge.

I would *think* that you still have a Ci permit (what colour is it) and therefore you can get employment as easily as any other C permit holder. This means you probably do not need to have any job as your permit should allow you to work anywhere in the EU or Switzerland. ie it is more special than normal and has no restrictions.

Not speaking French is a small problem but you could certainly get your c.v. to some agencies who would be able to help. There are plenty of international organizations and companies in the French part of Switzerland.

As you are a special case I would suggest that HR at CERN should be able to give you some advice on the restrictions if any your permit has.
