Re: Schengen visa question

well if you're coming once, you need a single entry visa.

you want to go to the Swiss embassy if Switzerland is your final destination.

Re: Schengen visa question

Just the one visit you'll only need a single entry visa. If you want to visit several times then go for a multi-entry one.

wrong passport no

Hi everybody,
I got Schengen visa from Swiss embassy but they wrote booklet no on visa sticker instead of passport no, but in front of the box "passport no". Will i be facing any problem while landing?
If yes, what should i do?Should i request embassy change and re-issue the visa.
thanking in anticipation

Re: Schengen visa question

Thanks for advice..actually my passport has both booklet no and passport no on biodata page. On the visa sticker, they wrote my booklet no instead of passport no.i though, it might be common or normal for swiss authorities to write booklet no instead of passport no.

Re: Schengen visa question

Do you mean booklet number or passport number? Because you're asking about gaining entry and putting the word "no" everywhere. So I read it like you don't have a booklet and you don't have a passport, or they said no you can't enter the country?

Re: Schengen visa question

oh i am sorry.i was using word "no" for "number". i meant they have written booklet number instead of passport number in my visa sticker..in rest of all the visas,i ever had, everybody wrote passport number.but its Swiss embassy who wrote booklet number, so i thought to get the advice from the forum before consulting embassy that it might be normal for the Swiss to use booklet number instead of passport number in the visa sticker??

Re: Schengen visa question

I contacted embassy. they replied that if some passport contains both booklet number and passport number, then as per Swiss law they are bound to write booklet number on the visa sticker so there is no issue in his regard.
regards
