L permit extension issue

My permit for L permit is on hold due to new laws introduced from 01-Jan by swiss authorities.
They are asking to increase allowance.

Re: L permit extension issue

I experienced the same recently when my employer was extending L to B for this year (non-EU). Authorities asked for salary increase on the ground that it's a 3rd year and my employer negotiated details with them. Eventually it worked out so I cannot complain at the moment :-)

However, that's another evidence that there are some new conditions put in place recently for certain types of positions which should be met, apparently to make it even more challenging to hire outside CH/EU...

Re: L permit extension issue

My company has applied for L permit in December last week. I was notified by my employer saying the Work permit application is on hold since they are not clear with some information and it may be delayed. Did you know get the permit approved?

Me too, have been waiting a month for my self-sponsored L renewal. Nail-biting stomach-turning suspense.

Re: L permit extension issue

Finally i received Authorization letter to work for another year under my L permit.
Immigrations also confirmed that i will get the permit card in a week.

But 2 of my colleagues also applied for the L permit extension but its not approved yet. They are telling its still pending with Labour office.
Does it mean its already cleared Fed department and go through ?

Re: L permit extension issue

Minimia , Its nothing to do with salary .. we are earning 5 digit salary every month which is not at all low with the swiss standard.

The above highlighted portion has nothing to do with salary? And who is "we"?

Can you please clarify this then? I also had the impression from your first post that it was related to salary. What allowance did your employer need to increase?

None at all. It seems that one or two people understand what you're talking about, but frankly you couldn't have made it less clear if you'd tried.

Specifically, what is this 'allowance' you're talking about?

I also have no clue what you're on about

Just to clarify again :
1. we applied for our L permit extension in Dec
2. By Jan, Swiss Authorities raised the concern and asked to increase food allowance even though we are all paid good salary as per the swiss standard.
3. Again our employer increased the allowance (in turn salary) and re submitted the application.
4. finally Authorities approved my extension.

what i am trying to convey was, we were not poorly paid as mentioned in one of the post, still Authorities raised a concern of low allowance and my employer did increased the salary again.

I am not complaining. These are the regulations in this country and we have to adhere.
