I'm a freelance self employed composer able to work from home anywhere and want to move with my partner (not married) to switz where she has found employment.
Do i need a visa to live with her in switz if i'm not actually needing to find work there?

Visas aren't required for UK citizens. Just register as self employed and you'll get a B residence permit. You may have to prove your financial viability after 6 months.
