can non EU taking up second job offer??

Hello everyone,

i have an urgent question to ask. is there any law or regulations stating that non EU cannot take up a seond job?

i am a full time employee at an international comany in Baden. i am working in communications. and recently i got a part-time offer as a media analyst. i am very intersted in the job. since it will only take 10 hours a week for me to do it. i really want to take it. but i am afraid that by taking the second job, i will break some law or regulations in Switzerland.

so...hope someone can give me some advice on this matter.

thanks a lot

kind regards,
Joyce

Firstly if you do not have a C permit you need to apply for an accessory job permit at your local Aliens Office. To do this you need approvals from both employers stating that they know about you having two jobs and they authorise it.

Other than the permit legislation, in general signing a contract with another employer while already under contract is a sackable offence.

Unless you have their permission.

Oh, sorry, I didn't think it was obviously, especially since the OP is wondering it was even possible.

Anyway, sometimes it's important to state the obvious to make sure we are all on the same page!
