non-eu permit processing time

Hi All,

I'm a recent non-eu swiss university graduate and my employer applied for a work permit in switzerland, via a lawyer. It was approved by Canton in 3 weeks but no news from the federal for 4 weeks already. Is this a bad sign? Could we be possibly declined by Federal? I heard it was easier for federal than Canton. Maybe I was wrong.
