Keep C permit for more than 6 non-consecutive month absence

Hi
I hold a Swiss C permit and I would like to travel for 8 months or so. I know that the C permit is lost after 6 months of absence. Now, if I go traveling 3 month in 2014, back two weeks and then traveling again 5 month in 2015, will I still lose it?
Assume that I keep my residence and health insurance in Switzerland so my 'center of interest' is not gonna be abroad.
Could not find much info on the Immigration website...
thanks a lot!
Matti

If you pay for your health insurance and residence then fundamentally, you've not left the country. You're not going to de-register are you?

Who will handle your affairs while you're travelling?

I would ensure that someone handles your year-end mail very carefully. Tax return although a formality will require someone getting your stuff to the accountant. And think about how you'll sign it before it's sent.....or handle an extension with your accountant so you do it when you return.

If he leaves schengen area by plane, the border officer will record that he leaves. If there is no record that he comes back in 6 months, will there be problems?
