Swiss+EU17 = Familienachzuggesuch? Is it just me or is this strange?

I'm EU-17, just married my Swiss husband here in CH and we've been asked to fill out a Familiennachzuggesuch form by the immigration office in Bern in order for me to get a B-permit in stead of the L I have.

Is it just me or is this strange?

Why is it strange?

I converted from an L to a B when I married my Swiss husband. I had to fill in the form, send in all my documents, my husband has to sign to say he will support me… and has to do so every year, as you only get a 1 year B permit.

Hehe I don't know. I didn't expect we'd need anything else than our marriage certificate specifically, I was told beforehand that I'd just need to bring the certificate, so I was slightly annoyed to learn that I had to go back

You expected something to be simple in Switzerland? They asked me for a UK tax form which doesn't even exist, no amount of explaining this to them changed the fact they wanted the form . get used to going back every year until you get a C permit or Swiss passport

haha, I know for a fact that things aren't simple, so you're right, I shouldn't be surprised! Still crossing my fingers that I'll somehow magically get a 5-year B so I won't have to go back each year, but I'm prepared for anything
