max length of contracting in EU for non-EU residing in Switzerland

Dear friends,

I have a question if anyone can help.
A non-EU non-Swiss Nationality, living in Switzerland having C permit, is hired and is paid by a Swiss company in Switzerland, though the location of work is outside Switzerland in EU as a contract job
Place of residence and taxation is Switzerland and weekends are also spent in Switzerland. EU country issues paperwork,... and no issue there.

Is there any limit, for how long this contracting can go on, from Swiss authorities point of view? say 6 months or 1 year is still ok?

Thanx in prior.

Re: max length of contracting in EU for non-EU residing in Switzerland

I don't think there's any limit to how long it could go on for, but you may need to be careful of any residency rules in the EU country you're working in. For example if you are physically in the UK for more than 183 days a year you could become classed as a resident and subject to UK tax I believe.

There may also be restrictions in the EU country on how long you can work there without applying for a permit of some kind. See this link for Switzerland's system for an example, particularly the section on companies posting workers to Switzerland. Other EU countries may have something similar.

https://www.bfm.admin.ch/bfm/en/home...verfahren.html

So you could be limited to only 90 days a year.
