Food import duties?

Where can I find the official statement on duties for food stuff such as coffee? Additionally, I was wondering, if Switzerland is my first euro stop, but I will go to another country carrying gifts, do I have to pay duties here? Or can I just show them my ticket to leave in a few days? Hope I don't have to pay duties in both places......

Re: Food import duties?

Does coffee count as "sensitive agricultural products"? Would exceeding 300 CHF be taxed at 2,4% or 7,6% VAT? Also bringing 1 bottle of champagne, but not sure of alcohol content...

But my question is, if I am going to another EU country in 2 days, will I be taxed here and again there?

The food list is one click away from tomcat's third link...

There's no limit lower than the standard 300 Fr./day for coffee. There's no domestic coffee agriculture that could suffer because of your import.
