Does a temporary German resident require a visa for Switzerland?

Hi,

My friend from Germany wants to visit me in Switzerland for 3-4 days. She is an Indian and has a German student residence permit for 2 years.
My question, does she need to get a visa to enter Switzerland? She has already contacted the Swiss embassy in Germany, they referred her to
http://www.bfm.admin.ch Could not salvage any information from there.
From asking around she has gathered the idea that, one can enter Switzerland for up to 5 days without a visa, since she has a German residence permit.
Is that true, or will she still need a visa?

Cheers
Maria
