Duration of living in different cities to get swiss citizenship?

Hi all,

Is somehow available a list of municipals within Zürich canton with the required minimum duration of living there to be eligible for swiss citizenship?

I know, it is 12 (or even more, 15 years) for some municipals and once we have to move to another city we would not like to start over the years from zero, but rather move into one of those cities within the canton where we do not 'lose' too much of the years already spent here.

Another question: when the eligibility for citizenship will be 10 years on a state level? At swissinfo.ch (but only this one!) says that it has been lowered from 12 to 10, but officially (admin.ch, etc.) still 12.

Re: Duration of living in different cities to get swiss citizenship?

There's info here but for details it only provides links to the cantonal sites:

https://www.ch.ch/en/regular-naturalisation/

There's also info in this thread but no conclusion:

Naturalisation after 10 years; passes parliament vote

According to the federal website it's still 12 years but I'd also love to know where the new ten year law stands in terms of implementation.

As far as I know there's no list for gemeinde requirements, you'd have to contact each one to fnd out.

The new 10 year ruling hopefully will be coming into force late 2016/early 2017 I believe. They've had to give the cantons time to bring the various and differing cantonal laws into line with the new regs.
