French Carte de Séjour - can I use that to work in Switzerland?

Hello,
My husband and I are both American, living in Annecy, France. I have a Carte de Séjour through him and his job here in Annecy. Does anyone know if that affords me any possibility of being able to work in Switzerland?

Also, on a slightly different note (perhaps a separate thread), is it true that a Swiss work permit is NOT required for work at one of the many international organizations in Geneva, such as UN-related orgs?

Thanks for any help/input!!
