| | Can I study abroad after getting Swiss citizenship?
Hello, I got a scholarship offer from a good university in Canada and I don't want to miss out on the opportunity. The problem is that I am only couple of months away from getting my citizenship. Would I be allowed to go study abroad immediately after getting the citizenship? or do I have to stay for a certain period of time?
Thanks in advance. |

I don't think there are any current circumstances under which a new Swiss citizenship can be revoked. Even if there were, studying abroad wouldn't be one of them.

It's better not to post anything if you have no idea what you talking about and evidently you do not.

Swiss citizenship can be revoked under certain circumstances, a quick divorce afterwartds is one scenario, murder/rape is another if it happens within a fixed period after granting nationality and if you have blatently lied on the application procedures, this can lead to problems.

Thanks in advance. | | | | | Citizenship process may take up to 18 months and within this period you might be invited for several interview(s) or some officials might want to check you and even talk to you.
So you should better be around during the citizenship period
