Non-EU C-Permit application through Vinta (2 years break in EU)

Dear All,

I am Non-EU national, I first came to Swiss under B-permit in 2006 to do my PhD at UZH until 2010, after which for 18 months I moved to France for a Job. I again returned back to Switzerland since 2012 in B-Permit and working here since then.

To sum up, in total I had completed 7.5 years in Switzerland as B-permit holder with 18 months break in between for a job in France. My query is, am I eligible to apply for C-permit through Vinta.

I am not sure since my time here is has a break of 18 months outside switzerand but inside EU. Some guidance would be very helpful.

Thanks a lot for your precious time and guidance.

Cheers

Deepak

See sections 5.1 and 5.2 in this document:

http://www.ma.zh.ch/internet/sicherh...+1.06.2015.pdf

Also, Vinta requires German (or another official language depending on the canton) at B1.

No, sorry because it's only available in German, French or Italian. And as Mullhollander says there's a minimum language requirement to gain a C permit early.

Re: Non-EU C-Permit application through Vinta (2 years break in EU)

Thanks for the links, based on google translator, I found that It requires 5 uninterrupted years of stay (which is not my case), hence I think i am not eligible even I can complete language requirements.

I think i have to wait another 2.5 years to apply for C-permit (in total I will be completing ten years by then).

Thanks you all once again for your precious support and guidance.

Cheers
Deepak

Re: Non-EU C-Permit application through Vinta (2 years break in EU)

This document was posted by brofeelgood in another thread. It shows the number of C permits issued "early" at 3.3% of the total for the first 11 months of 2015. This is what it says on p. 20:

Re: Non-EU C-Permit application through Vinta (2 years break in EU)

Dear Mullhollander,

Thanks a lot for the guidance. Indeed it was very helpful. I will complete the language requirements and will ask for premature C application. Anyway 3/4 of the Task is ASK. I think i wont loose anything by trying.

Wish you a very happy and peaceful new year.

Cheers
D
