Did you manage to get G permit after 1 month of living in the border zone?
Our situation is slightly different. I am a German citizen and would like to live soon in Germany near the Switzerland border. My wife (non-EU citizen) would like to move to Germany with me and still keep working in Switzerland. She has a working contract for an additional few years in Switzerland.
Would she be eligible to apply for a G permit? Is there a way for her to get a G permit to make this possible? We would appreciate any recommendations. | |

Short answer is no. She wouldn't qualify as she doesn't have German permanent residency and won't have lived in a border zone for at least 6 months.
