Hi All,

Just wanted to know the procedure to apply for an early C permit for Non-EU. I know that below list of docs are required but at the same time wanted to know if I have to send the formulaire "M" with the stamp and signature of my employer. Are there any other docs required apart from this and how should I send the list of docs to OCP office at Geneva to initiate the request.

Re: Process to apply for ealry C permit in Geneva for Non-EU

Hi phanissl,

The list of required documents for the early C permit is on the canton of Geneva's website (it isn't quite the same as what you had noted):

http://ge.ch/integration/categorie-q...torisations-de

Click on the question 'Dans quel cas je peux demander un permis C anticipé ?'.

In my case, I handed all of the documents in person to the Office Cantonal de la Population. The attending clerk simply took them, stamped the date onto my cover letter (which was on top) and told me, 'C'est tout bon'.

I hope this helps.

Many thanks for the reply. Please let me know where and how can I get the certificate "attestation de non-subside de l'Hospice général" at Geneva.

Re: Process to apply for ealry C permit in Geneva for Non-EU

You can write an email to contact@hospicegeneral.ch, marking it for the attention of Mme Aebi, with a copy of an identity document (I used my B permit), and giving details of your 'état civil' and of the other people with whom you live. In my case, as I am married, I also attached a copy of my marriage certificate, but I am not sure if it was strictly necessary.

Many thanks once again for your quick help. I will get this document and initiate the process as I have the remaining docs with me and only this one is pending.

Congratulations for your C Permit

Re: Process to apply for ealry C permit in Geneva for Non-EU

Hi phanissl, jkhn,

Thank you for sharing your experience!

I would like to make the same request but it is not clear to me if you had to submit the M form. I would like to avoid this if possible as it requires a lot of documents...

According to the faq here http://ge.ch/population/extra-europe...faq?page=0%2C5 (moved from the original location you mentioned):

Procédure - La demande doit être déposée à l'office avec les documents suivants :

formulaire M (en cas d’activité lucrative) ou P (sans activité lucrative)
copie du contrat de travail et justificatifs des moyens financiers actuels
attestation de non-poursuite
attestation de non-subside de l'Hospice général
attestation de français (niveau A2 européen)
lettre de motivation / explicative
curriculum vitae détaillé (avec copie des éventuels diplômes obtenus en Suisse)

Did you submit the M form or did you just give the rest of the mentioned documents with a cover letter?

Many thanks for your help!
