Freezing a C permit

Does anyone have any experience of freezing a C permit? We have been told that should be allowed to due to extenuating circumstances.

Thanks
Nx

Re: Freezing a C permit

Depends on the circumstances. The default accepted reasons are being sent abroad by your Swiss employer, military service or further education. Any other reason starts as a default "no" so you have to make your case to change it to a "yes". C permits can be put on hold for up to 4 years. Talk to your gemeinde/commune admin office as they're the people who will say yes or no to your request.
