Clarification reg. email from Zurich Migration Office

Hello,

Thank you for reviewing my thread.

Background: Non-EU; Work-permit authorisation received; moving to Zurich mid-May.

I intend to submit my wife's dependent visa application at the earliest. In this context, I wrote to the Migration office of the Canton of Zurich to provide me with a list of documents required to be submitted once I arrive in Zurich.

I am seeking clarification regarding two points outlined in the Migration office's reply to me (which was in German):

This translates to 'last twelve month pay slips of requesting reunification foreigner'.

Question: Are they asking for my pay slips or my wife's pay slips? In case my wife's, that would be odd, as shouldn't they be concerned about my financial standing instead of my wife's?

2. Aktueller Betreibungsregisterauszug der letzten drei Jahre.

This translates to "Current debt collection register extract the last three years".

Question: Do I have to bring this document from my home country or do I have to obtain it once I am in Zurich? If Zurich, which office do I have to approach and what documents do I have to submit? Also, If Zurich, the document will not have data going back three years - as I am not living there. Is that a problem?

Thank you in advance!

Re: Clarification reg. email from Zurich Migration Office

1) Your payslips, ideally Swiss ones of course. I don't know if any others would be acceptable as they have no relevance to what your salary would be here. Alternatively provide a copy of your employment contract which will state your salary.

2) Not sure on this one. You may need to obtain a document from your home country or you may be able to apply for a Swiss one once you arrive. I think the French word is "poursuite", no idea of the German equivalent.
