What permit you have has nothing to do with what surname you have after you marry.

Obviously your permit type is important. However, in terms of job opportunities and how you're treated, I've seen stories here on EF that seem to indicate having a Swiss or western European surname can open more doors.

Could be but then it also depends on what you can (and what permit you have obviously). My colleague has a similar name to yours

thank you everyone for the answer. I dont have permit yet, I hope I will get after the marriage to My future husband who is swiss. I know that surname has nothing in common with permit, I just wanted to aske about consequences in the case if changing surname
