Interesting permit situation

Hey all ,

i would like to get answers about my permit situation, i'm not entirely new to Switzerland ( been here over a year ), but there are still a lot questions at the moment, which i don't seem to be able find answers to.

So the long story short :

I'm from EU.

Arrived in Switzerland 15 05 2015, registered immediately through my employer ( seasonal hotel job )

After season ended i took up another offer in ST Moritz for the winter from 07 12 2015 till 07 04 2016.

My bewilligung L was valid until 15 of May 2016 ( so it is no longer valid ) i moved to Brugg in April & did the registration with Einwohnerkontrolle & they sent my papers to department of migration, once the i got the confirmation of my registration my permit had only 3 days left on it, i assumed that its all good anyway, because the papers already been through migration without any mention of the extension of the permit. So now i'm in Switzerland without a permit.

Got the job which starts on the 1st of July ( its unbefristeter vertrag ) & send the documentation required to migration agency few days ago. I will still have no permit until they will do their work because ,department of migration takes their time.

I hope the situation is clear & i have following questions :

Implications for EU citizen staying after the permit expires? Extension was not posibble because i no longer had a job i assume.

Health insurance, i'm not insured, so should i consider insuring myself immediately or should i consider waiting until migration responds to my permit application?

That is all i wanted to ask & will be looking forward to reading comments.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Interesting permit situation

Permit situation isn't a problem as you sort of revert to tourist status being an EU national so you could be here legally for up to 3 months without having a permit.

Health insurance - why do you not have this already? If you were registered as being a resident then you should have obtained it within 3 months of starting work, otherwise the canton will put you on their default insurance.
