Swiss naturalisation test

hi there

I got sent the following (Deutsch) Naturalisation questions. Not sure how indicative they are...

The first part (roughly paraphrased) says: to become Swiss, you need the following fundamental knowledge of Swiss government and politics. Once Swiss, it's no longer required. Perhaps you'd be interested in seeing questions from the Naturalisation exam. The price for passing is not a passport, but rather a nationalistic pleasure.

Enjoy!

Where did you find that..? Your copy looks terrible when I try to print it out. I would love to see how many of my Swiss co-workers could answer those questions correctly..!

Not really since it's still a jpeg the fine type (the answers are almost impossible to read)

Re: Swiss naturalisation test

This is not a real test. Some journalist compiled and published it, possibly during the discussions prior to the recent referendum.

Most Swiss (I included )would be unable to answer without prior studies. That is not so shameful. How many of us, who had schooling, can now answer math/ physics/ chem/ history/ geography/ etc questions which we once learned and passed the exams years ago?

Re: Swiss naturalisation test

If the test is really from WOZ it would explain some of the more tough questions. The newspaper is a usually left-leaning opinion journal. (A good read every now and then, in my opinion.) Good luck finding someone in Zurich who knows all the museums!

There are some efforts to standardise the test criteria for municipalities that wish to do so. When I researched the conditions for magyir's commune, there was an organisation mentioned that offers a course that is now mandatory or recommended in many Glattal communes.
