I tried searching for "part-time" but didn't find an answer to my question.

Planning to move to Zurich and having a doubt about the permit:

If I get a part-time work contract, is this enough for me to take to the local authorities and get an L or B permit? Is there a minimum income or hours of work needed?

I was under the impression that as an EU citizen the system would be facilitated, in the sense that I just have to present my work contract to the local authorities. But I'm wondering if this has to be a full-time contract or if there are any minimum income requirements.

It will depend on how much your employment is worth. If you don't earn a certain amount you won't get a permit. The certain amount is what the Swiss authorities decide is what you need to earn to support yourself financially. You'd need a job of at least 50% a week, preferably more.

Zurich Migrationsamt stated:

- Minimum 12-hour/week contract for an EU citizen to qualify for an L or B permit.

L or B depends on the duration of the contract:

12 months or less = L
longer than 1 year or indefinite = B

At Migrationsamt I was told they only check the contract length and that you have min. 12 or 15 hours of work/week. They didn't accept "indefinite" work contract length in my case when I applied for a permit, so your contract(s) must be specific about that. E.g. If your employer needs you for an indefinite time, however longer than 12 months, the contract could be signed for initial 15 months and you get B permit, so the possibility to extend the contract after 15 months without submitting that extension to Migrationsamt.
