It was not a fake marriage nor is it. Never was. And i am self employed i am three part owner of a GmbH.... the above two responses dont answer my question at all... thank you though for the response
Did you miss the quote? Obviously it wasn't a reply to your question.

I'm not saying your marriage was fake, I have no opinion on that. What I do say is that government's POV need not automatically agree with your version of reality.

Re: Keeping B Permit Without Marriage. Advice Please

I am joining the party, a bit late though.
I am in the process of renewing my permit after my divorce.

I wrote not one but two motivation letters and at this point I cannot decide which one to use. Yeap, I know - it's silly.
The first one is nothing more than a formal, dry letter where I let them know about my financial situation.
In the second one they do get to know a little bit about myself, showing them that I am well integrated + the reason of my divorce.

I asked some people around, discussed with the HR but I couldn't draw a conclusion - it looks like it depends whom is going to read it.
Maybe some things are best kept simple, I honestly have no idea. That's why I ask for your opinion - any input is greatly appreciated!

I'd go with the second. Not only because of this

https://www.ch.ch/en/right-to-reside...th-or-divorce/

(not sure which group you come under) but also because the Swiss government is looking at changing the rules for getting and keeping all types of permit so the more you can show that you're integrated the better your chance of getting and keeping your new permit.
