C permit, RAV UK national Hi Folks I am a British citizen (still EU!) and have been here now a little over 5 years. I can pass the language test. But someone told me that if you have used RAV in the last 12 (or even 24 ) months then you are not entitled to get a C. I work in IT, but was unemployed 12 of the last 18 months. My current B permit expires in Dec 2017 (in 8 months). Should I apply for a C (or B) permit from now. Any comments or views are much appreciated. Many thanks. |
Re: C permit, RAV UK national C permit applicants must confirm that they have not received social welfare in the past three years. RAV unemployment compensation is not considered social welfare. Please see section 4.2.1 at this link for document requirements to apply for a C permit in Canton Zurich: http://www.ma.zh.ch/internet/sicherh...-+Internet.pdf |

Many thanks for your response. So sounds like I would qualify as I have been here 5 years now! Here are a few more minor questions: Do I need to be in employment at the time of application? What are the language requirments, B1 or A2? And how long is roughly the wait time? Many thanks. |
