Re: The second year extension of L permit

Hi @unbalanced. Thank you for the infos. I am in the middle of extending my L Visum first time (Non-Eu) and I am also in Bern. Can you confirm that it is not required to again send additional documents such as (Diplomas, Employer Job Openings, Language Skills and such) alongside the filled formular?

Also, if you could keep us updated on how the process goes for converting your L visum to B visum. I assume that is going to be this year for you.

Thank you

Re: The second year extension of L permit

Also, my company is in contact with BECO and instead of the Form that you provided here in this forum, they sent me this one:

https://www.pom.be.ch/pom/de/index/m...%20EG_EFTA.pdf

even though this one is for the EU/EFTA ppl and not for Non-EU.
My company is going to send this Form but I am kind of worried so to say.

In my case after first year on L we went to the local Gemeinde and asked if we can get B or L. The lady marked both in the application and we paid the fee for B. Some time later we've got our L for the second year. We also got some cash back (the difference between B and L). Then I had a talk with my boss and he explained me that he got a request from the authorities to do a research on the market and everything from scratch if he wants me to get the B skipping the second L. He rejected this request. I've got my B after 2 years on L. Was pretty easy, I already posted this story on EF.
Non-EU, canton ZH.
Hi, Thanks for the information.
Could you please give the link to the page where you explained the whole story?
And, What about the cooling-off period? It has been mentioned by a user some posts above. When you passed 2 years on L permit, you didn't need to go outside of Switzerland to again get a B permit? Actually it is very confusing for me.
Currently, I am waiting for my L resident permit.

Bests,
M.
