Unemployment benefits (Arbeitslosenentschädigung/ chômage) is NOT social help (Sozialhilfe / Aide sociale) and it is your good right to apply for it (if eligible). Neither are IV/DI, nor AHV/OASI considered as social help but.

Mmm, yes but. Cantons can set their own rules and Glarus at least seems to want applicants not to have been in receipt of either unemployment OR social help for the preceding three years - or, if you were, to have paid it all back.
