EU, Permanent contract and B permit?

Hello

Can anyone confirm whether an EU national with a permanent contract with a Swiss-based company will definitely be issued a B permit? Or is it based on quota?

Definitely, no, based on quota, I donīt think so unless you are from one of the newer EU countries. Who can say for sure? Probably the Migrationsamt. But most likely you will get one.

Why the doubt?

No quotas for EU nationals except for Croatians.

Re: EU, Permanent contract and B permit?

In my experience EU nationals get a B permit if they've a contract for more than a year.
I was on a 2 year contract when I came and got one with no fuss, same too others in a similar situation.
Though this is purely based on limited experience of maybe a dozen people I know in one area, not based on any set rules.
