Taking longer than 14 days to register with Canton for Permit

hi everyone.

A colleague I know has taken longer than 14 days to register with the canton and apply for the permit.

What are the consequences?

I believe the agency did not inform my colleague in time and has now been in the canton for 25 days.

Anyone have a Web site or source which states what will happen in this scenario ?

Gets told off for not registering earlier - but that's probably about it.

He'd better spend his time by going to the immigrationsamt today.

Besides that it is his own responsibility that he has the correct papers for a legal stay.

Why is it a problem for an agency to be in a canton for 25 days?
