2 non-EU B permit holders getting married

Hi everyone,

I've looked through the archives and I'm quite sure I've not found a case like mine. Would love to tap into the collective intelligence of the group for advice.

My partner and I are 2 non-EU (Singaporean) B permit holders (work permits are completely separate and individual). We are getting married in Singapore this year and had some open questions:

1) How much time do we have before we need to report this to the Swiss authorities (asking because we are planning a 3 month honeymoon before coming back to Zurich)

2) Who are the relevant authorities that will need to be informed and how do we go about doing so?

3) Do we need to register our marriage in Switzerland again? Are there any benefits for us to do so?

Thank you for any advice you can provide!

Make sure your permits don't expire while you're on honeymoon.

Or less, depends on whether both are working or not, and the salaries involved, as well as the canton, etc.

In original post OP says "both are working" and OP location is set to Zurich.
