Short unemployment

Good afternoon!

I have B work permit for the European Union, valid until 2020. I will finish my current job in November but I will start a new job from January. I don't a job in December. This is my voluntary choice. I need rest.

Do I have to inform the Kreisburo or Migrationsamt?

Do you want chômage or not? If yes then you do. If no, then you don’t.

Re: Short unemployment

Thanks for the answers.

After reading a lot of information, my understanding is as follows: the authorities don't check my employment. The authorities are interested in my life in Switzerland when I am asking for financial support (for example RAV) and when I renew my permit.

Is this correct understanding?

Most unlikely to be a payable claim, up to a month depending on salary then 3 months punishment for a voluntary resignation.

I don't want any benefits. I just want to have one month break between current job and new job.
