| | Permit B (non EU) changing canton
Hi!
If anyone had similar situation, please, share your experience.
I have permit B, non EU. Having job in French part.
Now wish to move to work in Zurich.
I asked in migration control, they`ve told my permit is not linked to my employer, so I can move.
But what is procedure?
Afraid to loose my job here and permit in case something goes wrong with documents in Zurich.
Any suggestions how to avoid sharks in this bureaucratic dark waters?
Thanks!

YouŽd need to ask for approval to move as a non EU.
When you have the approval, deregister where you are now and register in Zurich.
What sharks were you expecting??

Do you know the procedure? Should I ask first in my canton? Or my new employer needs to apply somewhere? Or I need to ask permission in Zurich canton first?
Just want to do it right, not to get problems with permit.

Are you changing job ? If you aren't (ie going unemployed), you definitely shouldn't have any problems. Maybe you can contact Migrationsamt in Zurich to give you more detailed information, but for sure you won't be denied a permit, if you still have the same employer.

If you have an open permit, i.e. not tied to your employer, then it works just the same way as for an EU national. You deregister from your old place, move to Zurich and re-register there with your new employment contract.

I think Zurich wil grant permission as long as the OP is employed, but moving here unemployed, they may not like and may not approve the move.
cheers
