AFAIK, your clock would not reset for C permit if your permit has been continuous.
If you've been here for 3 continuous years on a B permit and get married, you get another B that renews annually. Hold that for 2 years and then apply for C once you reach 5 years.
Stay married for 3 years, living together, with no intent to separate, and you can apply for facilitated naturalization. The rule is 3 years married, 5 years living in Switzerland. In your case, you'd be married 3 years and living here for 6.
For many people, 5 years married =5 years living here, but that's not everyone.
