Little question, did you receive the approval of SEM on letter B or A or registered letter? Thanks for your answer

I think B post, definitely not registered

The chances of any unregistered letter not arriving in Switzerland is miniscule, so there is no point them sending things by A or registered post when the overall added expense would not justify the rarity of anything not arriving.
Think things have changed. In 2017 I didn't have to pay anything until the end of the process. The letter/decision came registered mail and the postie would only hand over the letter in exchange for 750chf.

Re: My Facilitated Naturalization application experience

Does anyone know if I have to update SEM on employment changes of my husband? Would I have to do that in case I change my position?

That‘s a long waiting time… Did they tell you whether you passed the interview? Have you heard anything after the interview?

The request to sign 2 forms comes from SEM, that means your case is back with SEM now for the final stage.

Re: My Facilitated Naturalization application experience

Creating a post to track my own timeline for a Facilitated Naturalization application here in Ticino:

Early April 2022 - sent email to SEM requesting application forms
Mid April - gathered all documents required
2 May - Sent all documents to SEM
8 June - Received invoice for 900 CHF + letter confirming receipt of documents and outlining process etc. Paid invoice same day.

Re: My Facilitated Naturalization application experience

The link is working if you select it together with blob: and then paste into the browser. For some reason, I was not able to post it properly.
For the interview, they normally suggest to check 3 sources:
ch.ch
Swissinfo.ch - menu - klick auf die Schweiz
Bk.admin.ch/dokumentation - der Bund kurz erklärt

The most useful I find der Bund kurz erklärt. There are also 2 apps (from AppStore) which I used: QuizAcademy and Einbürgerungstest Schweiz. I find them useful as well.

Re: My Facilitated Naturalization application experience

hello,
I have a question about the appeals that can be made by the canton and the municipality of residence. a friend informed me that between July 15th to August 15th it is considered as a holiday, so canton and the municipality of residence can not make an appeals, and we have to wait 1 month more if our 30-day approval period is during this period.. is it is right ??? is there a person who received his approval around end of June ? and when he got the final answer?

Re: My Facilitated Naturalization application experience

This is probably what happened to me. I got the initial approval early July and final approval late August or early September. Took ages.

Most communes in canton Zurich have a leaflet (Broschüre Einbürgerungsgespräch or INFORMATIONSBROSCHÜRE Grundkenntnisse) with the most important keypoints. Here the one from the City of Zurich: https://www.stadt-zuerich.ch/portal/...gespraech.html

Re: My Facilitated Naturalization application experience

The OP stated:

Quote:
Within 6 weeks I was informed that no objections has been raised and I was now formally Swiss. It then takes about a week or so for my new Heimatorten to acknowledge they have been informed that I am now on their registers. Once I had this form, I could simply apply for an ID card and a passport, both of which took place within 3 days.
However, I received confirmation that I was "formally Swiss" back in February, and that the decision had entered into force in January.

So... 5 months have passed, and I have not been informed that I am on any register, and have no such form that allows me to apply for an ID card/passport.

Is this normal?
