Anyone else? | | | | | Perhaps the interview is to get a work permit for Switzerland, not a permit required for an interview?

Ok gopisade, considering that in another thread we learnt that you were offered a job (with a remarkable pay increase....) I guess your question is how to prepare for the interview to get a permit to be allowed to work in Switzerland.
Isn't your future employer taking care of this?
Barbra.

When my husband was offered as job in Switzerland we had to fill in the relevant forms and send them to the Swiss embassy in London (we're Australians but were living in the UK at the time), along with our passports, his offer of employment and whatever else they asked for.
There was no interview required. We were sent back everything along with permission to enter Switzerland with the intention of living there. Once we got to Switzerland we then applied for the permits, which took a month or two to arrive.
As a nonEU person you will have to have a confirmed job offer before you can come here to live, and your employer should be the one to sort it all out, with you filling in whatever is required and providing your passport before you leave India, and then, once you arrive, going in person to the Kreisburo to register your arrival.

Back in time, after I had applied for job in Switzerland and had my interview with ABB, I had to wait for my work permit which was organized by my Swiss employer. All I had to do was to send the relevant documents to the HR and they did the rest. I never heard of interview for work permit???

| | Re: Please share your experience in attending interview for switzerland work permit
I had 4 phone interviews but I set up an AG and then hired myself as an employee. Thats how I got my permit. So its a bit differant perhaps? But they were extremely helpful. They had to make a request to the head office in Bern and prove that a Swiss person couldnt full-fill the role I needed a permit for. I had interviews with the Geminde in order to "fine tune" my application. The gemeinde in Zug is very good about these things as they dont want to lodge your application unless there is a high-probability of success. Im guessing the other people in this thread were either transfered from bigger companies (they have lawyers) or are married to locals. So depends on your situation.

Enjoy !!

My work permit was taken care of by the HR department of the company, no interview was carried out. I had to supply a few documents, the only one that was a surprise to me was that I needed a certificate of "good behaviour" from the police. As I was living in Germany before coming to Switzerland this simply meant filling out the relevant form and sending it off, paying the appropriate fee and the certificate arrived a few days later. I don't know if such a certificate is still a requirement.
Cheers
