Re: Interview at the OCP for naturalisation

Hopefully. I was told in July at the Cantonal office that the next ceremonies are November 26th and December 5th (meaning a few months when no ceremonies were held). So the fact that there was a ceremony last week at the Victoria Hall kind of surprised me Yes I hope I get to attend the ceremony before 2020. Anyone in Geneva attending a ceremony in the near future?

My enquêteur told me I would be naturlized by December...but frankly, I haven't heard from the feds yet. I"m really miffed because the commune was slow to act on my file after my interview with them.

The process varies for children.

In Geneva, my oldest daughter was 15 when she had her interview. She received her naturalisation, passport and ID card. She has yet to be invited to a ceremony.

Youngest was 10 when we submitted her dossier. There was no interview.

For both, the commune's decision was to send a letter confirming that they looked forward to welcoming them to becoming citizens.

I also spoke to each of the people who gave us references and they were not contacted throughout the process.

Cost breakdown (OCP = 300, Bern = 50, getting a swiss birth cert = 110, passport and ID card = 78)
A quick update. Our youngest daughter received her citizenship today. We started the process 8 months ago.

Re: Interview at the OCP for naturalisation

Hi Everyone,

Still waiting for the letter from OCP regarding interview.

Today one colleague of mine informed me that he got a call from OCP and they asked him where does he lives and told him they going to visit his apartment during this month.

Does anyone had a visit from OCP?
