C Permit : Spouse started work , who to inform?

Dear Experts,

Can you please confirm my understanding that if a spouse (who has never ever worked before in Switzerland) with a C Permit starts working then it doesn't really have to be informed to any of the authorities like tax office etc ?

Being on C permit we file our tax returns annually and would just declare the new income.

As there was no previous employment , so no transfer etc. of 2nd pillar. AHV starts getting deducted from Salary so that part is clear too.

Apart from informing Health Insurance provider to cancel the Accident Insurance , is there anybody else to be informed ?

Thanks

I don't know whether you have to inform the tax office or not. In Bern, we receive provisional tax bills 3-4 times a year. They're based on the previous year's income and what we're projected to make this year.

If the authorities where you are don't know your household income is changing, then your provisional bills will stay the same but your final bill could be quite a shock once both incomes are added together. In your shoes, I'd prefer to know sooner rather than later how much more of a tax hit I'm going to take.

Thanks for your response. It's not a major change and had accounted for it.
I am basically more interested in knowing if we are not missing to inform some 'authority' there that might penalize us.
