VINTA with short interruption

Dear All,

I am a Slovakian (EU-10) citizen and planning to apply for C-permit (VINTA) in Zurich. According to the law I need at least 5 years of uninterrupted stay with a B-permit. In the year 2015 I stayed for 3 month in abroad due to a scholarship and I gave up my flat for that time. However, I was able to keep my B-permit.
Back then I lived in a different canton, not in Zurich.

Does anyone have experience how this short interruption affects the permit application? Does it breaks the 5-years stay, so I have to wait until 2020 or it would be possible to get the C-permit?

Did you de-register at any point? Stop paying health insurance? If no, then odds are your stay is considered uninterrupted.

Re: VINTA with short interruption

I registered the leave at the local Registration office, but they told me to keep the B-permit. I paid the health insurance in Switzerland.
